Dealers have received pricing for the new-generation GWM Haval H7, with a promotional starting price of $45,990 drive-away. The price is set to compete with the cheapest Toyota RAV4 in showrooms. GWM Australia has not officially confirmed the dealer pricing, but says competitive pricing for the hybrid and plug-in hybrid range will be announced shortly. The official launch is scheduled for November 2, 2026, with five-seat versions launching first and seven-seat versions due in 2027. GWM says it has received more than 1500 expressions of interest.
Mitsubishi Australia says it pressed its parent company for specific features on the fifth-generation Pajero during development. Product strategy manager Rod Pinedo said the local division sought wider cabin space and relocated child restraint top-tether points, which now sit on the second-row seatbacks. The new model is 110mm wider than the Pajero Sport. Ride and handling were also tuned with Australian input. The Pajero is due in showrooms in December 2026, priced from $68,490 before on-road costs.
Subaru will reveal a new manual version of its WRX sedan in November 2026. The model will use the TY85 six-speed gearbox, last used in the STI model discontinued in 2021. Subaru says the transmission's production line was restarted after engineers found it still intact and working. The new manual WRX will be a regular production model, not a special edition. It is likely to be sold only in Japan, where Subaru does not currently offer a manual WRX.

Chery's incoming iCaur brand plans to enter Australia in early 2027 with the mid-size V25 SUV. International CEO Ronna Luo said customisation is central to its pitch, aiming to offer recognisable designs buyers can personalise. Pricing and final specifications have not been announced. The V25 will offer electric or extended-range electric powertrains, depending on market. Mid-size SUVs were the largest segment in September, with 34,545 deliveries, up 26.1 per cent on the previous year. Electrified vehicles are also gaining share of sales.
GWM Australia says its new Haval H7 has attracted more pre-launch interest than any previous GWM model, with first customer deliveries due within two weeks. The company claims the mid-size SUV received 1500 expressions of interest after its local debut at the Everything Electric exhibition. The new model comes exclusively with the Hi4 all-wheel drive system and offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. GWM Australia has confirmed a drive-away price from under $50,000, with the official launch set for next month.
