Trading in Public Places Policy
The Shire of Collie says no decision has been made on proposed changes to public place trading in Collie. At its meeting on 13 October 2026, Council deferred the decision so councillors can consider the draft policy further. Councillors will workshop the draft before it returns to Council for a decision. The policy aims to support tourism and economic growth, activate public spaces, offer services not otherwise available locally, and protect brick-and-mortar stores in the Central Business District through fair rules. The Shire says it will keep the community informed.
