A 16-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly leading police on a 40-minute high-speed pursuit through Perth's northern suburbs early on Saturday. Midland detectives tried to stop a red Holden Commodore on Malaga Drive around 12.30am, but police allege the driver accelerated away. Police allege he drove on the wrong side of the road, ran red lights and sped through roadworks, forcing other motorists to swerve. The driver abandoned the car on McArthur Street, fled on foot and was arrested nearby. He faces three charges and bail was refused.

A mobile speed camera operator has been charged with reckless driving after police allege he overtook a road train and forced an oncoming car onto the shoulder to avoid a head-on crash. The incident is alleged to have happened around noon on September 29 on Great Eastern Highway between Tammin and Cunderdin. The specially fitted Isuzu D-Max, owned by the Road Safety Commission, was impounded. Its release was approved on October 12, with the driver's personal vehicle substituted. The 67-year-old man is due to face Northam Magistrates Court on December 14.

Juvenile arrested after hoard of e-bike riders run amok on Stirling roads
A juvenile has been summonsed to appear in court after a group of e-bike and scooter riders caused chaos in Stirling on Friday afternoon. Police say the group rode off-road through Stirling Civic Gardens and onto the road, weaving between cars and running red lights. Video shows vehicles braking hard, and pedestrians were forced aside on a bush track. A police aircraft tracked one rider through several suburbs towards Herdsman Lake, guiding officers on the ground. The rider has been charged with reckless driving and having no authority to drive, and an e-bike was seized.
