Michael Carrick appears close to being removed as Manchester United manager, nine months after taking over at Old Trafford from Ruben Amorim. Carrick initially joined on a short-term deal and later earned a permanent role after guiding United to third place and Champions League qualification. This season, however, form has collapsed, with a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth extending a winless run to eight matches and leaving United 16th in the Premier League. Carrick is the ninth manager to lead the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, and the piece reviews how each predecessor's record compares.
