Twenty-six emerging First Nations leaders from across the country have been chosen for the First Nations Clean Energy Network's PowerMakers 2026 clean energy program, drawn from more than 70 applications. The intensive program aims to give participants the knowledge, skills and networks to lead clean energy projects in their homes, communities and on Country. Participants will cover household energy measures, community energy planning, project development and negotiating benefit-sharing agreements. The network's director, Bec Halliday, said the cohort is drawn from nearly every state and territory.
