Busselton Jetty Swim: Outrage over Race Roster technical issue that sends thousands wrong tickets

要点

• About 7000 entrants in the Busselton Jetty Swim ballot were wrongly emailed on Monday telling them they had won a place. A second email that night apologised for the mistake and asked people to disregard the first.
• Hundreds were placed on the waitlist, with the correct results released at midday on Tuesday. Event president Di Bruce said organisers were urgently investigating the cause.
• Swimmers on the waitlist can stay there or withdraw before February 4, 2027, to secure entry for the 2028 event.
