Locals support locals as Canungra turns pink

• Canungra is marking its annual Turning Canungra Pink month with pink flags, signs and ribbons. The campaign was started over a decade ago by breast cancer survivor Dianne Crook.
• Community Cancer Care Inc now manages the funds, using 90 percent to help local people in cancer treatment. Since July 2024, it has given out 64 support packages, with funding shared fairly between men and women.
• Last year's campaign raised a record $115,000, and this year includes a new Pink Halloween Barefoot Bowls event on October 30.
