Coles increases price of shopping bags in a frustrating move for shoppers
要点
- Coles has quietly raised the price of its shopping bags, drawing anger from shoppers. Paper bags now cost 30c, up from 5c, and larger branded reusable bags have risen from $4 to $4.20.
- Online click and collect bag fees remain at $2 per order. A Coles spokesperson said the changes reflect higher material costs and encouraged customers to bring their own bags.
- The increases follow a $1.09 billion profit for the 2025-2026 financial year. Competitors Woolworths and Aldi continue to charge 25c for paper bags.
