The Stockman ute is still scheduled to reach Australian buyers in February 2027, Mr Qi said.

Nissan will sell a new hybrid ute in Australia under the Navara name, despite it sharing little with the existing diesel model. Nissan Oceania boss Steve Milette says the company chose the Navara name for brand recognition. The Navara Pro PHEV, a joint venture with Chinese automaker Dongfeng, will arrive in 2027, featuring a 300kW and 800Nm powertrain. It will compete with other electric utes like the BYD Shark 6 and GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV.
Nissan Australia has cancelled development of the next-generation Navara Warrior, a tougher version of its D27 Navara ute. The company says it will focus on launching the Chinese-sourced Navara Pro plug-in hybrid, due on sale in 2027. Navara sales are down 48 per cent for the year to the end of September, with 3227 units delivered. Last year, Nissan sold 7249 Navaras, well behind the BYD Shark 6 plug-in hybrid. Nissan says it is considering a more capable Navara Pro but has no Premcar program in development for it.
