Ruggable is running an October Hosting Sale with up to 30 percent off select styles, ending October 25. A WIRED reviewer says the washable rugs suit homes with children and pets, because spills and stains can be cleaned in a washing machine. Staff members have chosen designs for their homes and offices. The review also notes drawbacks, including a nonslip pad that shifts and can cause tripping, and edges that curl. The sale excludes the Easy Care Wool collection, gift cards, spot cleaner and rug pads. Revival is also running a 20 percent off sitewide sale until Sunday.
The Rocco smart fridge, a retro-style wine cooler, features an app to scan and display its contents. It comes in various colours and is currently on sale for $200 off. A new lower-priced model, The Essential, has also been released, priced at $100 off during the sale. Both models use a Sub-Zero compressor and can reach temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit.

Nissan Australia has cancelled development of the next-generation Navara Warrior, a tougher version of its D27 Navara ute. The company says it will focus on launching the Chinese-sourced Navara Pro plug-in hybrid, due on sale in 2027. Navara sales are down 48 per cent for the year to the end of September, with 3227 units delivered. Last year, Nissan sold 7249 Navaras, well behind the BYD Shark 6 plug-in hybrid. Nissan says it is considering a more capable Navara Pro but has no Premcar program in development for it.
Belle Property's First to See strategy offers a digital-first approach to selling homes, providing early access to selected properties for motivated buyers. This method allows vendors to gauge demand and gather feedback before committing to a traditional campaign. With over 480,000 registered buyers, the strategy connects properties with active market participants. Early engagement can lead to successful sales without extensive marketing, or vendors can opt for broader exposure if needed. The approach offers flexibility in a competitive market where quality stock is scarce.
A $75 million sale of a Point Piper waterfront home has become the highest price achieved in Sydney this year. Valuer Simon Feilich, who compiles the Dyson Austen Top 10 Prestige Residential Survey, says the market is recovering after a pause. Half of the top 10 sales for the third quarter took place in September. However, the cumulative value of the top 10 sales fell 16 per cent on the same quarter last year, from $400 million to $341.8 million. The entry point to the top 10 also dropped 22 per cent, to $23.5 million.
Australia's new-car market grew by 1.8 per cent in September 2026, but this growth is entirely due to two Chinese brands. Geely's sales surged by 870.3 per cent, adding 4473 vehicles, while BYD's rise to second place behind Toyota also contributed. Without these brands, the market would have contracted by 5.2 per cent. Other manufacturers saw declines, with Mitsubishi and Subaru experiencing significant drops in sales.
Chinese-made cars accounted for 38.9 per cent of Australia's new-vehicle market in September 2026, outselling combined Japanese and Thai vehicles. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and the Electric Vehicle Council reported 42,045 Chinese vehicles sold, compared to 40,933 from Japan and Thailand. This milestone was first reached in June 2026, boosted by a shipment of nearly 5000 vehicles from BYD and Denza. South Korea and Germany followed as the top five countries of origin, with sales down 5.0 and 1.7 per cent respectively.
Socialite Sanchia Brahimi's luxury apartment at Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf is among the spring listings returning to the market after failing to sell previously. The four-bedroom penthouse-style home has been on and off the market over the past three years and carries $9 million price guidance through Maclay Longhurst and Emily Davidson at Sotheby's International. The third-floor property offers 291 square metres of internal space and was last sold in mid-2021 for $11.7 million. Another repeat listing this spring is the Darling Point home of Dr Helen Nugent and her husband Michael, which has $22 million guidance.
