Proposed Long-Term Temporary Road Closure Milo Road Crossing

The Shire of Irwin proposes fully closing about 850 metres of Milo Road, Irwin, from 1 February to 30 June 2027, weather permitting, for a river crossing upgrade. The project replaces the low-level Irwin River crossing with concrete box culverts to improve flood resilience and reduce traffic interruptions. Through traffic would use signed detours, and property access would be kept from each side of the worksite. Written submissions on the proposed closure must be received by 5pm on 27 November 2026.
