Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital has introduced precautions, with vets assessing and testing dogs outside the clinic while wearing full protective equipment.
Organisers have postponed the Global Voices Multicultural Festival, which was due to be held at Charles La Trobe College in Macleod West this Sunday, 25 October. Forecasts of showers, possible thunderstorms and strong winds prompted the decision, as the venue lacks enough undercover space to keep people safe. Organisers plan to hold the festival in early 2027 and are considering 7 February, 21 February or 14 March. Schools will keep their places in the program, and no new registration is needed. The organisers say they remain committed to a safe and inclusive event.
