Knicks vs. 76ers final score, results: Philadelphia spoils New York's banner night in LeBron James' debut

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New York Knicks 106-100 in the NBA season opener, spoiling the Knicks' championship banner ceremony. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 28 points, while LeBron James and Jaylen Brown contributed 14 and 19 points respectively. The Knicks, who honoured their 2025-26 title with a pre-game ceremony, were led by Jalen Brunson's 21 points and Andre Drummond's 12 points and 14 rebounds. The 76ers' strong third quarter proved decisive, with the Knicks unable to mount a late comeback.

Where Knicks-76ers opening night tickets rank among most expensive regular season games ever

Tickets for the New York Knicks' opening night game against the Philadelphia 76ers are among the most expensive regular-season seats in NBA history. Boardroom reports an average price of $1,840 and a cheapest seat of $1,112. If confirmed, this would surpass the $1,137 price for Kobe Bryant's final game in 2016. The Knicks are raising a championship banner for the first time in 53 years. Prices have risen as the game approaches, which is unusual, according to TicketData founder Keith Pagello.
