The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles meet on Monday Night Football in Week 7, both with 2-4 records. Dallas has scored fewer points recently, while Philadelphia has been hampered by injuries. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a pulmonary embolism. The game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. It is shown on ABC and ESPN, with streaming available through Fubo and the ESPN app.
The New York Giants will start J.J. McCarthy at quarterback in Week 7 against Houston, after Jaxson Dart suffered a season-ending knee injury. The Giants traded a 2027 fifth-round draft pick to acquire McCarthy from Minnesota. The Giants sit first in the NFC East at 3-2-1, while Dallas is now the favourite to win the division. The Giants are expected to finish with around nine wins, which could be enough to take the division. McCarthy is also seen as a possible long-term backup and successor to Dart.
The NFC East could become the first division since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger to go winless in back-to-back weeks when all teams played. The Cowboys lost 23-13 to the Packers on Sunday night, and the Commanders are underdogs against the 49ers on Monday night. The Giants still lead the division by 1.5 games. The Eagles and Cowboys meet on Monday Night Football in Week 7, and the winner could be well placed in the division.

Green Bay defeated Dallas 23-13 on Sunday night at Lambeau Field. Second-year wide receiver Matthew Golden led the win, catching six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jordan Love also played strongly, and the Packers defence made key plays. Golden dropped several passes from Love, two of which could have gone for touchdowns. Green Bay moved one game closer to the top of the NFC North with the victory.
All four NFC East teams ended Week 5 of the NFL season with frustrating results. Washington settled for a tie with the New York Giants after blowing a 14-point lead, and coach Dan Quinn said a tie felt like a loss. Philadelphia lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars on a late kickoff return, and coach Nick Sirianni took the blame. Dallas lost at home to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving coach Brian Schottenheimer with a 2-3 record. Giants coach John Harbaugh, who leads the division in his first season, appears to be under the least pressure.
