Super Bowl 61 halftime show details: Jay-Z named headline performer for 2027 title game in Los Angeles

The NFL has announced Jay-Z as the halftime show performer for Super Bowl 61, to be played on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement was made on October 26. Jay-Z has released 13 solo studio albums and has been nominated for 89 Grammy Awards, winning 25. In 2019 the NFL partnered with him to help choose halftime acts, and he has now chosen himself for the 2027 event. The game will be the eighth Super Bowl held in Los Angeles.

Nick Reiner rocked back and forth in his chair during a Los Angeles court hearing on the murder charges over the deaths of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner. Page Six reported that he appeared more alert and restless than at earlier hearings. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder over the stabbings at the family's Brentwood home in December 2025. Judge Sam Ohta granted the defence more time before the court considers releasing grand jury transcripts and exhibits. The case is due to resume on 13 January.
