Opera Queensland will stage Bravo!, a show of familiar opera favourites, at the Kingston Butter Factory on Thursday 5 November. The 80-minute performance runs without an interval and suits all ages. Doors open at 6.30pm, with the show starting at 7pm. Tickets cost $35 plus a $5 transaction fee and can be booked through Logan Arts. The program suits both regular opera fans and newcomers to the art form.
Greek singer Kelly Kelekidou will perform two live shows in Melbourne on Saturday 31 October, aimed at the Greek diaspora. The first show is at Oakleigh Grammar as part of the Sts Anargiri Community Festival. The second is at Kinisi at Track. She is expected to perform many of her popular hits at both events. Her visit is brief, as she must return to Greece for new professional commitments and a premiere at a major Athens nightclub.
Singer Kate Ceberano says she has nothing left to prove as she approaches her 60th birthday. She began her 30-date Australian Made Encore Tour in September, which runs through to November. Ceberano describes ageing and menopause as natural changes she has accepted, and says the freedom that comes with it is the best part of her life. She says touring feels no different to her after thousands of gigs, and she values the direct connection live performance offers in an age of artificial intelligence.

La Ronde opens its Melbourne season at Spiegel Haus Melbourne on Wednesday, October 21, at 7pm. The show combines circus, cabaret, comedy and live music in the Spiegeltent, with performers working close to the audience on a central stage. The Melbourne run follows an extended 260-show residency in Sydney and will continue until January 27. Producer Jess Copas says every act pushes the limits of what the human body can do, mixing technical skill with humour and danger. Bookings are available at spiegelhausmelb.com.
