Coles Currambine is the best-rated Coles store in Western Australia and seventh-best in the country, based on Google reviews. The store averages 4.34 stars out of 5 from 271 reviews. Seobacklinks.com compiled the rankings from 830 Coles supermarkets and local stores that were operating and had at least 200 Google reviews. Ratings were calculated from individual star counts rather than Google's rounded scores. Seobacklinks.com founder Oliver Weston said newer, larger stores with ample parking, clean aisles and friendly staff tend to rank highest.

Kununurra's only major florist has closed, leaving residents of the remote Western Australian town with few places to buy flowers. Owners Diane and Chris Robinson retired after struggling to find a long-term shop assistant. Bianca Brown has started assembling and supplying bouquets alongside her transport business, and says she may scale up next year. Sophie Cooke also lets people pick flowers from her family farm on Saturday mornings during the dry season. Perth resident Gerald Contreras says he is eager to use Ms Brown's service to send flowers to his partner in the town.

Police in Fitzroy Crossing say youth offending has fallen and trust with officers has grown. In Broome, an independent evaluation praised the Ngurra Buru Night Space, and crime across three suburbs fell in its first 13 months. Kununurra has opened a temporary night space, with a permanent facility due at the end of the year.
Christopher Saunders, the former Catholic bishop of Broome, has been sentenced to at least four years and six months in prison for sexually abusing two young Aboriginal men in Western Australia. The 76-year-old was jailed for six years and six months for offences committed between 2010 and 2019. The court heard Saunders invited young men to gatherings, supplied them with alcohol, and sexually assaulted them. The abuse occurred at a Broome beach house, a church residence, and remote Kimberley communities. Saunders was found guilty of one count of rape and 12 counts of unlawful and indecent assault.
