A judge has retired to consider whether a teenager who held a man at knifepoint during a Cairns home invasion is also guilty of raping the man's partner. The judge-only trial in the Childrens Court of Queensland hinged on whether the boy heard a co-offender say he intended to sexually assault the woman. The defence argues the boy believed the group was only robbing her. The prosecution says the boy could have intervened and stopped the rapes. The defendant has pleaded not guilty to five rape counts. The judge says he will reach a decision as soon as possible.
