‘Will never leave me’: It’s been 10 years since the Dreamworld tragedy
A decade after four people died on the Thunder River Rapids ride at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, former staff member Michael Clancy is sharing his story. He was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder after facing abuse and threats in the months after the incident. A parrot named Archie helped him recover, and he went on to start Parrots for Purpose. The organisation has given away more than 700 birds to people who need emotional support.
