Foundation president Rhon Nation said the donation helped the group reach its target. The foundation has given Frankston Hospital more than $1 million over fifteen years.

A Perth mother has become an internet sensation after her half-naked son appeared during Telethon's live car giveaway. Falziah Cooper, a single mother of four, won a Hyundai Kona on Sunday night. Shane Crawford and Katie Brown delivered the car to her Victoria Park home. Cooper said she had been facing a $10,000 bill to repair her broken-down car, and she has donated to Telethon for decades. A second winning family, Trevor and Brenda Crispin of Busselton, also received a Kona.
Community at 3, a Camden Haven charity, has received a $20,000 donation from the Commonwealth Bank Community Grants Program. The money will help the organisation move from the Kew Country Club to facilities offered by the Anglican Church. The relocation still needs final Council approval, and the charity hopes to complete the move before Christmas. Co-Chair Theo Hazelgrove says the new site will allow the charity to reach more people, including those in Kew, Kendall and Herons Creek. The organisation is marking its tenth anniversary this year.
