Moreton Bay gets ahead of the buzz with proactive mozzie management

Moreton Bay Council has started its annual mosquito management program, treating key breeding hotspots over the next eight months. Crews use aerial treatments and targeted on-ground products, which the council says are environmentally friendly. Mayor Peter Flannery says the aerial products pose no risk to humans or pets. Residents are urged to clear stagnant water, keep pools chlorinated and create frog friendly backyards. Treatments will continue until April, with extra work after heavy rain.
