Anthropic's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission shows that more than half of customers spending at least $100,000 a year now use both its Claude platform and a first-party app. That share was about 30 per cent at the end of last year. As of September 30, the company had more than 11,900 customers spending at least $100,000 a year. The filing says the company's cross-product approach is driving usage growth, and it lists risks including reliance on cloud partners that are increasingly competitors.
OpenAI and Google have reached an arrangement that will bring OpenAI's frontier models to Google Cloud services. GPT models will also appear in Antigravity, Google's agent-powered coding tool. OpenAI's latest model will be added to Google's Model Garden in the coming weeks, joining more than 200 existing options, including Google's Gemini models and Anthropic's Claude. The full set of current GPT 6 and 6.1 models, named Astra, Sol and Luna, will launch on Google Cloud. Businesses with existing Google Cloud spending commitments can buy access through the Google Cloud Marketplace, making the switch to GPT models straightforward.
Anthropic is reportedly having trouble securing enough cloud capacity from AWS, Google and Microsoft. According to a leaked S-1 filing reported by The Wall Street Journal, these providers increasingly view the AI company as a competitor rather than a customer. The filing says Anthropic believes it could spend more than $750 billion on cloud contracts, some still under negotiation. The company reported an $80.7 billion net loss in the first half of the year on $16.3 billion in revenue. Anthropic is reportedly targeting a November IPO.

Amazon Web Services has released a tool called TorchNeuron that lets AI developers move apps built with PyTorch onto its Trainium chip. Amazon says a single configuration change is enough, with no code rewrite needed. The move targets the software advantage that has made Nvidia the default choice for AI hardware. AWS argues that Trainium offers better value for startups than specialist cloud providers tied to Nvidia. Amazon also says it will contribute code to PyTorch to make it less dependent on Nvidia chips.
