Perth electrician Bill Simpson has started a 10-day stint living rough on the city's streets, with nothing but the clothes he is wearing. He aims to raise $100,000 for homeless charity We Are Mobilise through Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge. A Canberra woman is nearing the end of a year-long challenge to summit all 66 publicly accessible trigonometric stations in the ACT. Meg, a local rock climber, began the project in January 2026 after experiencing domestic violence, aiming to reclaim her love for the outdoors. The journey has involved long hikes, navigation challenges, and personal growth, with support from local businesses and an online community. The final stretch includes remote areas and multi-day hikes, culminating at Bimberi Peak, the highest point in the ACT.
