Manchester United booed off pitch after calamitous defeat
Manchester United fans booed their players after a 3-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The loss was the club's eighth winless league match in a row under manager Michael Carrick, leaving them 16th in the 20-team table. Carrick said it hurt to see the club in this position. Captain Bruno Fernandes was left out of the side after criticising Carrick's tactics. Elsewhere, Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0 at Anfield, and Newcastle defeated Crystal Palace 2-0.
