Myer's Black Friday sale, held on Friday, November 27 2026, is expected to offer steep discounts on home goods. Shoppers may find deals on appliances, kitchenware, bedding, tech and outdoor items. Last year's sale included a Dyson V8 vacuum for 53 per cent off and 55 per cent off a Sealy mattress. Household appliances are predicted to sell out quickly, so shoppers are advised to buy any wanted items early. Further discounts on fashion, shoes, personal care, travel and children's products are also expected.
The Rocco smart fridge, a retro-style wine cooler, features an app to scan and display its contents. It comes in various colours and is currently on sale for $200 off. A new lower-priced model, The Essential, has also been released, priced at $100 off during the sale. Both models use a Sub-Zero compressor and can reach temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit.
Research from Compare the Market has found that choosing energy-efficient appliances can significantly lower household power bills. Pool pumps show the largest gap, with low-rated models costing about $503 more a year than high-rated ones. Washing machines follow with a gap of about $362 a year. Dishwashers show the smallest gap, at about $51. The cost gap also varies by state, with South Australia recording the largest total difference and the Northern Territory the smallest.

Better Homes and Gardens has ranked eleven front loader washing machines for 2026, with a Westinghouse 9kg model named the top overall pick. The list covers budgets from under $500 to premium models, with several machines currently on sale. The publication says it chose products on factors such as performance, energy efficiency, capacity, noise and customer reviews. Buyers are advised to check spin speed, drum size and a brushless inverter motor, which can mean a quieter machine.
