Insta360 Luna Ultra and Luna Pro Review (2026): Steady Does It

Key points

• Insta360's Luna Ultra and Luna Pro gimbal cameras enter a market once led by DJI, and the reviewer finds them strong performers. Both share a 20-mm equivalent wide lens on a 1-inch sensor, delivering sharper footage than the Insta360 X6 in most conditions except bright sunlight.
• The gimbal keeps shots steady, though it sometimes needs recalibration after hard knocks. The detachable front panel lets users frame themselves remotely, and the Ultra adds a 3X optical zoom lens and 4K/120 log recording.
• The battery is not replaceable, and digital zoom reduces image quality noticeably.
