Hay Youth step up as next generation of leaders

Key points

• Seven young people from Hay have gained skills in confidence, resilience and communication this year. They attended the Ignite Leadership Camp and the Magic Moments Business Summit.
• Hay is an Anchor Community under the Foundation for Rural and Region Renewal's NextGen Blueprint program, which encourages younger people to take an active part in community decisions. Free workshops for local employers and community groups are planned for October.
• They will focus on attracting, engaging and keeping Gen Z volunteers and workers.
