Rams timeline of kickers: Sean McVay's carousel continues with Harrison Mevis cut after struggles

Key points

• The Los Angeles Rams have released kicker Harrison Mevis after a poor performance on Monday night. Blake Grupe, who has 50 games of NFL experience, has been signed as his replacement.
• The Rams have struggled to find a reliable kicker since Matt Gay left in free agency after the 2022 season. Gay had helped the team reach Super Bowl success, while later kickers Brett Maher, Lucas Havrisik, Joshua Karty and Mevis each had short stints.
• Grupe was signed from the Jets practice squad.
