It’s a ‘oui’ to French festival

Key points

• Geelong's French festival, Le Festival Francais, returns this weekend at The Heights in Newtown. The fourth edition features more than 60 market stalls, 14 food and drink vendors and a two-day program.
• Attendees can take French language lessons, watch performers such as Jean Darme and Accordion Lucy, and attend cheese and wine pairing sessions. National Trust Victoria Geelong regional manager Claudette Brennan said a ticketed Saturday night event will feature French DJ Lilian Chabannes, with a food court open for dancing.
• Many activities are free.
