Chinese brand reveals yet another heavily Porsche-inspired model

• SAIC, the newest brand from SAIC Motor, has revealed a large electric SUV called the Z9 in a Chinese government filing. Its design shares many features with the Porsche Cayenne.
• The Z9 will sit above the H5 SUV and Z7 range, offered with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Unlike the Cayenne, it will seat six people across three rows.
• Battery capacities have not been disclosed. The SAIC brand is currently sold only in China, while Porsche sales there have fallen 33 per cent this year.
