‘Absolute loser’: Aus driveway feud erupts amid parking chaos

A tradie's ute was marked with pink spray paint in Freshwater, in Sydney's northern beaches, after it blocked a driveway. Tradie Rob Rakuc said the paint was likely permanent and would cost a couple of hundred dollars to remove. A Tesla on the same street was also reportedly sprayed. Online reaction was mixed, with some people backing the act and others saying it was illegal. Similar anger over parking has surfaced in Doonside and Narrabeen, where vehicles were also marked. Under NSW law, a basic graffiti offence carries a $440 fine.

The BoM’s temperature record keeping is under attack – again. What’s going on? | Temperature Check

The Bureau of Meteorology has rejected claims that errors and human intervention compromise its temperature records. A privately produced audit, promoted by The Australian, alleged widespread errors in raw data. The bureau said fewer than 200 observations out of 7 million in its main dataset were affected by duplication, and that the impact on the long-term record was statistically irrelevant. It said the duplications likely arose during the transfer of handwritten records to digital form. The bureau described accusations of deliberate manipulation as false and unsubstantiated.
